My Mum didn’t choose me

I cannot believe it has been over a year since I made this video and apart from Mother’s Day coming up this Sunday, a Twitter pal threw it out like a boomerang into the world again and I was reminded that my Mum didn’t choose me and that some of you might not know me. So “here I go again”, but this time I am most definitely not on my own.
Every year of the ‘Hood Life’ I grow, change and hopefully evolve with Max and every day we get to know each other better and it is truly incredible. (I know, grab a bread stick – CHEESE), but I recognise that some of you may have only just found me or some of you might be wondering why my parents are never pictured, mentioned or featured.
My Mum didn’t choose me, but I chose me, I chose my own life, my own friendships, I chose my family and even though Mother’s Day can be tricky for all of us in many different ways… this Mother’s Day I feel more at peace than I ever have and I think that is worthy of celebrating.
Happy Mother’s Day

I’m so glad you are starting to feel better about this, I remember reading and watching this video and I was heartbroken for you and also related to the content myself.

    Stay positive my friend x
